Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly accounting and financial processing across four entities.
- Complete month-end procedures, journals, accruals and provisions.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly trial balances, income statements, balance sheets and management accounts.
- Analyse financial performance, variances and trends.
- Manage intercompany accounts, fixed assets and depreciation.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, EMP501 reconciliations and other SARS requirements.
- Manage SARS queries and statutory compliance.
- Oversee monthly and weekly payroll processes.
- Supervise creditors, debtors and finance administration.
- Monitor cash flow, banking and payment requirements.Manage foreign currency transactions, international supplier payments and forex exposure.
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting processes.
- Manage, mentor and support finance and payroll staff.
- Coordinate B-BBEE, Employment Equity and other statutory reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably at Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant level.
- Strong full accounting function experience.
- Strong month-end and management accounts experience.
- Experience with VAT, PAYE, EMP501 and SARS compliance.
- Payroll oversight experience.
- Experience managing or supervising a finance team.
- Annual audit preparation and auditor liaison experience.
- Pastel Accounting experience essential.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills essential.
- Manufacturing experience highly advantageous.
- Inventory / manufacturing accounting experience highly advantageous.
- Foreign currency and international supplier experience advantageous.
- SAICA / SAIPA articles advantageous.
- B-BBEE and Employment Equity reporting exposure advantageous.

Package
Salary: R38 000 – R45 000 CTC per month
