Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding mining exploration company, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Exploration Geologist to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in base metal exploration from anywhere. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in discovering and defining world-class mineral deposits. Your role will be pivotal in identifying new exploration targets, designing and executing exploration programs, and interpreting geological data to guide our drilling and sampling efforts. Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or Economic Geology with a specialization in base metals.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on base metal deposits (e.g., copper, nickel, zinc, lead).
• Demonstrated success in discovering economic mineral deposits.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, ArcGIS).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, alteration systems, and magmatic processes relevant to base metal formation.
• Experience in designing and supervising exploration drilling programs.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex geological concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as needed.
