Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Vaal Triangle is seeking an estimator to contribute to heavy steel projects in a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment. The role involves preparing and reviewing cost estimates, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and analysing drawings to define the scope of work.

The position is on-site, contract-based, with a salary range of R35,000 to R50,000 per month.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of estimating experience in heavy steel environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for heavy steel projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate budgeting.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Assist in tender documentation and bid preparations.
• Monitor project costs and update estimates as needed.
