Job summary

Danté Personnel Recruitment is seeking a technically minded Draughtsman / Estimator to support steel plate profiling and processing operations in Chloorkop, Kempton Park, Gauteng. The role requires accurate drafting and cost estimation for cutting and fabrication projects.

You will work from drawings, use SigmaNEST and CAD, and collaborate with production to prepare quotations. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach and 5–6 years of experience in the special steel industry are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric or relevant NQF 4 qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in a similar field.
• Hands-on experience using SigmaNEST and CAD in steel profiling or CNC cutting.
• MS Office literacy.
• 5-6 years experience as Estimator and Draughtsman in the special steel industry.
• Previous estimating experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Draughting on SigmaNEST.
• Assist with quotations and estimating material requirements, cutting costs and processing requirements.
• Read and interpret technical or fabrication drawings.

SA - Gauteng, Kempton Park (Market related, Negotiable) Our client in the special steel industry is looking to employ a technically minded, detail-oriented Draughtsman / Estimator to support its steel plate profiling and processing operations in Chloorkop.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric or relevant NQF 4 Qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a symalar field
• Practical, hands-on experience using SigmaNEST and CAD preferably in a steel profiling or CNC cutting environment
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• 5-6 years experience as a Estimator and Draughtsman withing the special steel industry
• Previous estimating experience is not essential
