Placements24 is seeking a Senior Environment Artist to craft immersive game worlds, handling modeling, texturing, and lighting. You will build high-quality environmental assets and dress levels to create engaging spaces that align with artistic vision.

You will collaborate with level designers and art directors to optimize performance and mood, leveraging your strong portfolio and expertise in Maya/3ds Max/Blender, Substance and Photoshop, and Unreal Engine or Unity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Environment Artist in the game industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing detailed environments.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender) and texturing tools (Substance Suite, Photoshop).
• Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity, including asset implementation and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and high-quality 3D environment assets, including models, textures, and materials, adhering to project style guides.
• Assemble and dress levels, ensuring compelling composition, lighting, and player flow.
• Optimize environment assets for performance, managing polygon counts, texture memory, and draw calls.
• Collaborate with level designers to block out and refine game spaces based on gameplay needs.
• Implement and iterate on lighting scenarios to enhance mood and atmosphere.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques and technologies in environment art creation.
