In this hybrid role, you will optimize assets for performance on multiple platforms, maintain a consistent art style, and contribute to pipelines while mentoring junior artists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an environment artist in the video game industry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
• Expertise in texturing tools like Substance Painter/Designer and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of PBR workflows and engine integration (Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Excellent eye for composition, color, lighting, and detail.
• Experience working in a hybrid or office environment in Mossel Bay.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and materials for game environments.
• Collaborate with level designers to build immersive and functional game spaces.
• Optimize environment assets for performance across target platforms.
• Ensure consistency in art style and quality throughout the game world.
