Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd in Plattekloof (Cape Town) invites applications for an Enterprise Network Engineer. You will design, deploy and support enterprise LAN, SD‑WAN, firewall and managed Wi‑Fi solutions within an MSP framework.

The role requires 3–7 years in enterprise networking, strong knowledge of OSPF/BGP, VLANs and QoS, plus SD‑WAN/Wi‑Fi design experience. Willingness for after-hours changes and on-call rotation is expected.

Qualifications

3 to 7 years’ experience in enterprise networkengineering or infrastructure roles.
Expert knowledge of IP networking, routingprotocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, QoS, and security principles.
Experience designing and implementing SD-WAN andenterprise Wi-Fi solutions.
Familiarity with managed services environments,NOC/SOC collaboration, and change control processes.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention todetail.
Ability to work independently in a high-availability,multi-client environment.
Proactive, structured, and documentation-orientedapproach to network management.
Willingness to engagein after-hours changes and standby/on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

Design and plan scalable and secure enterprisenetwork environments (LAN, SD-WAN, Firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
Deploy and configure networking hardware and software across client environments.
Maintain and support operational stability of enterprise networks.
Troubleshoot complex issues across Layer 2/3, SD‑WAN overlays, security.
Collaborate with project managers, systems engineers and service delivery teams.
Implement upgrades, patches and firmware updates on devices.
Document configurations, designs and changes per standards.
Contribute to tools, templates and processes for network delivery.
