The Only Option is seeking an experienced Engineering Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team in Gauteng, South Africa. You will own a specialist engineering recruitment desk, identify top technical talent, and develop long-term client relationships.

This role goes beyond filling vacancies; you will drive business development, manage the full cycle from briefs to placement and aftercare, and shape the market by leveraging your network in mining, energy, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ engineering recruitment experience required.
• Strong understanding of technical and engineering recruitment.
• Proven business development and client relationship skills.
• Established engineering network with market contacts.
• Experience across Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure, EPC/EPCM or Consulting Engineering.
• Strong sourcing, communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercially driven with a proven track record of delivering placements.
• Wants to build a market, not just inherit a desk.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full recruitment cycle: BD, client briefs, sourcing, assessment, placement and aftercare.
