Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to oversee a portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure projects based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. This is a hands-on, executive‑level role that drives delivery from conception through to completion, coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate has 12+ years in project and programme management within energy or infrastructure, deep knowledge of the South African energy market,
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, PM, MBA, or related field.
- At least 12 years of progressive project/programme management experience in energy or infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million Rand programmes and leading diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic programme plans for a portfolio of energy projects, aligning with objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary project teams for optimal performance.
- Oversee the full programme lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Manage programme budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Identify, assess and mitigate programme-level risks and issues.
