Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the performance of a diverse portfolio of energy assets based in Vereeniging. You will lead a team of operational staff, drive maintenance schedules, and implement strategies to optimize asset efficiency and longevity.

The role requires a strong background in power plant operations, a focus on safety and environmental standards, and proven leadership across multidisciplinary teams within the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in power plant operations and management.
• Proven leadership of operational teams and plant activities.
• Strong safety, environmental compliance knowledge and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple energy facilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies (preventive and corrective).
• Manage budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead and mentor plant operators, technicians, and supervisors.
• Monitor KPIs and drive operational improvements.
