Arup is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in Energy and Infrastructure to lead complex projects across multiple sectors in the Built Environment. Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town, you will manage the full project lifecycle from stakeholder engagement to construction and QA, driving safe, compliant delivery.

You will collaborate with clients and Arup teams to ensure design integrity, manage risks, and maintain strong relationships with governments and communities, while delivering

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration; a master’s degree is advantageous.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or SACPCMP certifications.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector (wind, solar, and other sustainable power projects).

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement detailed project execution plans to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with clients and Arup teams to integrate technical activities and achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, regulations, environmental requirements and permits.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining relationships with governments, communities, suppliers, contractors and team members.
• Drive quality control measures to meet performance objectives and deliver outstanding service.
• Oversee project progress and report to senior management and stakeholders.
• Apply energy and infrastructure knowledge leveraging Arup's knowledge network to adopt best practices.
• Demonstrate understanding of construction processes and project delivery.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration

Master’s degree beneficial
