Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer in Stellenbosch to design, implement, and maintain advanced control systems for energy infrastructure. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility and requires expertise in PLC/DCS programming, SCADA, and security-conscious system design.

You will collaborate with automation specialists and plant engineers to optimize performance, ensure safety, and maintain data integrity across industrial facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
6+ years designing implementing and supporting industrial control systems.
Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming for major platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB).
Strong knowledge of Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
Experience with SCADA and data acquisition.
Excellent problem-solving in a hybrid team environment.
