Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in control systems engineering and industrial automation.
• Proficiency in programming PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
• Experience with HMI development software (Wonderware, Ignition).
• Strong understanding of process control principles, instrumentation, and industrial networking.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for industrial plants and energy facilities.
• Develop and maintain HMI applications for process visualization and control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control system hardware and software to minimize production downtime.
• Implement process optimization strategies using advanced control techniques.
• Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to define control system requirements and implement solutions.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and cybersecurity best practices for all implemented control systems.
