Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Energy Analyst to join a globally distributed team. This role focuses on dissecting energy market data, forecasting prices, and evaluating investment opportunities in renewables and traditional energy sectors.

It is a fully remote position, enabling collaboration with experts across geographies. You will build financial models, prepare reports and dashboards for senior management and clients, identify trends and risks, and stay ahead of policy

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy market analysis, financial modeling, or strategic consulting within the energy sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy), and SQL.
• Experience with energy market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon) and forecasting methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of energy economics, policy, and the evolving landscape of clean energy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of global energy markets, including supply, demand, pricing, and regulatory factors.
• Develop sophisticated financial models to forecast energy commodity prices and assess project viability.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and clients, highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations.
• Identify emerging trends and risks within the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy and sustainable technologies .
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, economists, and project managers, to provide data-driven insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in energy technologies, policy changes, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
