Job summary

SAAB in South Africa seeks a Software Systems Engineer to own system software requirements on customer projects, coordinate SW development, report progress to Program Managers, and provide client facing SW assistance. You will drive system SW integration and testing and maintain software lifecycle data throughout projects.

You will lead, plan and manage the Software System Engineering process, create documentation, and ensure compliance and delivery of verification and validation artefacts.

Qualifications

• Bsc Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar tertiary qualification.
• 5+ years in military SW development or related environment.
• Experience with DO-178B/C and DOORS is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead Software System Engineering process for development and contractual projects.
• Create and maintain System Software Development and Requirements documentation.
• Coordinate TDAs in the sub-system NRE SW development process.
• Integrate, verify and validate project System Software baselines.
• Provide technical support to Marketing, Bid Office and Product Management groups.
