Job summary

Control Systems Integration is seeking experienced Senior Control Systems Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Software Engineers to join our team in South Africa. The successful candidates will design, develop, implement, test, commission and support integrated electrical, automation and control systems and related software.

Travel to client sites will be required to meet project requirements and timelines. We value technical excellence, problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A relevant Engineering qualification or IT qualification.
• Experience in software development, systems engineering, automation, control systems, electrical engineering or systems integration.
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Experience in software development/programming within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a project team.
• Good communication and customer relationship skills.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Developing, reviewing and ensuring the completeness of User Requirements Specifications (URS).
• Performing technical designs, drawings and specifications, and developing Functional Design Specifications (FDS) within agreed quality and project timeframes.
• Developing and implementing the required software and control solutions to satisfy project requirements.
• Ensuring the quality and functionality of project code and products through internal and external FAT of hardware and software.
• Installing, testing and commissioning hardware and software on client sites, ensuring that systems function correctly in accordance with the FDS, FAT requirements and Quality Control Plan.
• Establishing and maintaining strong, professional customer relationships, both internally and externally.
• Ensuring project productivity and compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislation and industry requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and professional conduct on all project sites.
• Providing technical and ad-hoc assistance to the Directors and management team when required.
