Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration of electrical subsystems for complex industrial machinery. The role requires on-site presence in Kimberley, with a structured hybrid model and remote design collaboration.

You will design architectures, specify components, validate equipment, and ensure robust data exchange across PLC, HMI and SCADA systems while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with mechanical, software and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7–9 years' experience in electrical design and integration.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial networks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 13849 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of electrical subsystems, including power distribution, control panels, instrumentation, and automation components.
• Develop detailed electrical system architectures and integration plans.
• Oversee the specification, selection, and validation of electrical components and equipment.
• Ensure seamless communication and data exchange between various electrical and control systems using industrial protocols.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive system testing and validation procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure all designs and integrations comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians involved in integration activities.
