Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical Systems) for a hybrid role in Kimberley, Northern Cape. Lead mechanical projects from conception to completion, manage budgets, timelines and teams, and ensure adherence to safety and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hybrid work willingness with relocation to Kimberley.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets.
• Coordinate engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to hit milestones.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety and environmental policies.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
• Facilitate regular project reviews with stakeholders (in-person and remote).
• Prepare progress reports, financial summaries, and post-project evaluations.
• Liaise with clients and other departments to align requirements.
