Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Port Elizabeth to manage and execute electrical engineering projects from design through commissioning, with a hybrid work model.

You will lead planning, coordinate with teams and suppliers, monitor progress, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a BEng/BTech in Electrical Engineering with at least five years of project management experience in electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in electrical engineering.
• Proven track record delivering complex electrical projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop detailed project plans with resource allocation, risk assessment and milestones.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and archived properly.
