Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role in Nelspruit. You will design, develop, and test electrical systems for construction projects, balancing on-site support with remote design work to ensure safe, compliant installations.

Responsibilities include load calculations, fault analysis, and ensuring adherence to electrical codes, with collaboration across project teams. Registration as Pr. Eng. with ECSA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in construction or related industry.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and control circuits for construction projects.
• Perform calculations for load estimations, voltage drop, and fault current analysis.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with national and international electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure successful installation and commissioning.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, troubleshooting, and to provide technical support.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and testing procedures.
