Placements24 is seeking a Chief Electrical Engineer to lead our Stellenbosch electrical engineering team. You will provide strategic direction, oversee complex system design, grid integration, and renewable energy initiatives, while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will manage a skilled team, review technical designs, and coordinate with clients and regulators to drive innovation and efficiency within our energy sector operations in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant portion in energy.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for all electrical engineering activities.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems for energy projects.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes and standards.
• Mentor the electrical engineering team and manage budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with project management, operations, and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
