Job summary

Inuka Partners, final-year wind energy specialists in Cape Town, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support technical design and execution of utility-scale wind projects from development through handover. Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of electrical or electromechanical engineering experience, including 3+ years in renewable energy and 4+ years in project environments.
• 3+ years of distribution and reticulation design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, electrical reticulation systems, high-voltage networks, and substations.
• Experience in utility-scale wind project design and execution.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Support technical assessments, due diligence, and electrical design for wind projects.
• Review technical documentation, contracts, grid connection requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate engineering designs, supplier documentation, and technical procurement requirements.
• Work with project teams, utilities, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and construction quality.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
• Ensure technical and contractual requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
