Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering with renewables.
• PR Eng. registration with ECSA is an advantage.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, and PSS/E.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including grid-tied and off-grid solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical due diligence for new energy projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, battery storage).
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E).
• In-depth knowledge of power systems analysis, protection, and control.
• Familiarity with relevant South African and international standards and regulations (e.g., NRS, IEC, IEEE).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites within South Africa .
