Job summary

G7 Renewable Energies in South Africa is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, grid integration, SCADA systems, and project delivery for utility-scale wind, solar and BESS projects. You will guide engineers, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with grid codes and industry standards across the full project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years in electrical engineering for renewables, strong HV/MV/LV knowledge, and experience with EPC contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years in electrical engineering, grid infrastructure, substations or renewable projects.
• ECSA registration or eligibility is advantageous.
• Experience with EPC contracts and contractor management.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and technical delivery for HV/MV/LV systems.
• Manage grid connection activities and utility interfaces.
• Oversee SCADA, control systems and data integration.
• Coordinate procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Provide operations support and drive continuous improvement.
