Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in grid integration to join our fully remote team. This role focuses on connecting energy resources to the national power grid and guiding projects from feasibility to commissioning.

You will work remotely with regulators and utility partners, applying power systems knowledge and regulatory frameworks to deliver robust, scalable solutions and to shape the future of energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering, focusing on grid connection studies and renewable energy integration.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes, interconnection standards, and utility interconnection processes.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software: PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, PowerFactory.
• Experience with protection system design and coordination for grid-connected facilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and assessment for interconnecting renewable energy projects to the grid.
• Perform grid impact studies: load flow, short circuit, transient stability, protection coordination.
• Develop specifications for grid interconnection equipment (switchgear, transformers, relays).
• Collaborate with utility companies, grid operators and regulators on interconnection processes.

Working remotely, you will leverage your deep understanding of power systems engineering and regulatory frameworks to guide projects from feasibility studies through to commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical assessment and design for interconnecting renewable energy projects, storage systems, and other distributed generation facilities to the grid.
