Job summary

AECOM Centurion is seeking a Senior Designer - Electrical (Resources + Industry) to join our Enterprise Capabilities in Gauteng. The role supports mining and industrial projects within a global delivery model, offering a flexible hybrid work arrangement combining office and remote schedules.

The successful candidate will deliver detailed electrical designs, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor junior designers while ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards across

Qualifications

• Electrical design tasks requiring independent work and initiative
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and maintain quality
• Experience with international projects is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate detailed electrical designs, layouts and documentation.
• Perform advanced electrical design using AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise and BIM Forma.
• Develop concepts for mine services, materials handling, transport & water facilities.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, process & control systems disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve clashes to support delivery.
• Manage drawing registers and design deliverables; mentor junior designers.
• Collaborate with regional teams and clients to manage queries and deliverables.
• Contribute to standardised work practices and knowledge sharing.
