Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design and system development.
• Proven expertise in designing complex electrical systems for industrial applications.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial networking.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in both a remote and in-office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels for specialised industrial equipment.
• Perform component selection, power calculations, and thermal analysis for complex electrical systems.
• Utilise CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for detailed design work.
• Integrate various electrical components, including motors, sensors, PLCs, and power supplies.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation of electrical systems to ensure performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues encountered during prototype development, manufacturing, or field deployment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, test procedures, and user manuals.
• Stay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and field service teams.
