Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to lead design, integration and optimization of complex electrical controls for industrial manufacturing. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote work in a flexible hybrid setup.

You will apply PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell), SCADA/HMI development, and robust power distribution knowledge, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring safety compliance across projects in Gauteng.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum 6 years in electrical systems design and automation engineering.
Proficient in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram) and SCADA/HMI.
Experience with Profinet, Modbus and Ethernet/IP industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex electrical control systems for industrial automation.
Specify components, PLCs, HMIs, VSDs and instrumentation.
Program and commission PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell) and configure SCADA.
Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
Troubleshoot systems and perform root-cause analysis.
Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with project managers and clients; mentor juniors.
