Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Manager in the Kimberley region to oversee the entire distribution network, including warehousing, inventory control, and transportation. The role demands strategic leadership, hands-on oversight, and a proven track record in large-scale logistics operations.

The successful candidate will drive cost efficiencies, implement best practices, and lead a hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence for critical operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in distribution and logistics operations management.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale warehousing and transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and ERP software (SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for inventory management and control.
• Oversee transportation and logistics functions, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse and logistics staff.
• Monitor KPIs for distribution and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors.
• Utilize technology and systems to improve operational visibility and control.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales to align logistics strategies.
