Placements24 is recruiting for a Senior Distribution Manager in Benoni, Gauteng. The role oversees all warehouse operations, inventory control, inbound/outbound logistics, and fleet management, with hands-on leadership and strategic planning responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in warehouse and distribution management, strong WMS knowledge, and proven ability to drive efficiency and cost savings in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse and distribution management, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations in e-commerce or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control techniques.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive improvements.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and manage all warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and inventory systems.
• Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment to meet service levels.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, supervisors, and shift leaders.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and identify savings opportunities.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and security protocols within the DC.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time shipping, inventory accuracy, and costs.
• Collaborate with transportation and procurement for seamless supply chain integration.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Balance remote strategic planning with on-site leadership in Benoni.
