Job summary

Surbana Jurong seeks a BIM engineer to support modelling, detailing and BIM implementation across projects. You will work with Autodesk tools such as Revit, Civil 3D and Bentley, develop templates and automate workflows, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Modelling and detailing for project deliverables
• Autodesk, Revit, Civil 3D and Bentley implementation for team
• Develop Autodesk templates/libraries and tools to maintain standards
• Programming within Autodesk (Visual Coding/Automation)
• Quality audit on outgoing drawings
• Standardisation of all drawings on project
• Visualization of 3D models of projects for presentations
• BIM implementation
• Handling all Autodesk troubleshooting and setting up interfaces in respective department
• Mentor, train and provide technical support to junior staff
• Conducting conceptual and detailed design and modelling to prepare technical drawings and documentation
• Provide practical and economical solutions to project deliverables
• Applying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
• Maintain a high level of Modelling expertise and engineering knowledge
• Undertake supervisor role and lead on projects
• Ensure drawings and documentation are to the highest quality
• Maintain internal and external client satisfaction
• Strictly adhere to SMEC’s Management System (MS), quality standards and OHS procedures
• Introduce Graduate Engineers to in-house standards and the practical application of tasks and construction techniques
• Assist Project Managers with site queries and reporting solutions
