Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a BIM Engineer to lead modelling and detailing tasks, implement Autodesk tools, and develop templates to standardize practices. You will mentor junior staff, participate in project delivery meetings, and drive BIM implementation across multiple projects.

You will ensure high-quality drawings, support site queries, and provide practical, economical solutions while maintaining client satisfaction and adherence to internal standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in architectural and engineering modelling and detailing.

• Ability to mentor and support junior staff in design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Modelling and detailing of project deliverables with accuracy.
• Implement Autodesk tools and manage templates/libraries to standardize work.
• Program within Autodesk for automation and efficiency.
• Perform quality audits on outgoing drawings.
• Standardize drawings across projects and maintain modelling standards.
• Visualize 3D models for client presentations.
• Lead BIM implementation and troubleshoot Autodesk interfaces.
• Participate in technical discussions and project delivery meetings.
• Mentor, train and support junior staff on best practices.
• Develop designs and technical drawings to meet project requirements.
• Provide practical, economical solutions for deliverables and tackle modelling challenges.
• Maintain high modelling expertise and engineering knowledge.
• Undertake supervisor role and lead on projects when needed.
• Ensure documentation meets quality standards and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Modelling and Detailing
• Autodesk, Revit, Civil 3D and Bentley implementation for team
• Develop Autodesk templates/ Libraries and tools to maintain standards
• Programming within Autodesk (Visual Coding/Automation)
• Quality audit on outgoing drawings
• Standardisation of all drawings on project
• Visualization of 3D models of projects for presentations
• BIM implementation
• Handling all Autodesk troubleshooting and setting up of interfaces in respective department
• Participating in office technical discussions and project delivery meetings
• Mentor, train and provide technical support to junior staff
• Conducting conceptual and detailed design and modelling to prepare technical drawings and documentation
• Provide practical and economical solutions to project deliverables
• Applying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
• Maintain a high level of Modelling expertise and engineering knowledge
• Undertake supervisor role and lead on projects
