Recruit-It seeks a DevOps and Platform Engineer to implement and maintain our hosting platform across Private Hosted Environments and cloud services. You will build automation, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and enforce security and hardening standards while ensuring recoverability and documentation.

You will manage execution of infrastructure as code, monitor environments, and support developers to deploy applications reliably.

Formación

• 5+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or hosting roles, running production systems.
• Hands-on experience implementing and running virtual machines and services in privately hosted environments.
• Experience with AWS and Azure services to implement and maintain them.
• Strong Linux server administration.
• Containerisation with Docker and an orchestrator such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes, including reverse proxies and load balancing.
• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Solid networking knowledge, including DNS, TLS, firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Practical experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery, including having tested restores.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Understanding of identity and access management, including least privilege, role‑based access, SSO and OAuth.
• Scripting ability in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Clear written documentation, and the discipline to work to a standard set by someone else and show evidence of compliance.
• Willingness to take part in out‑of‑hours support.

Responsabilidades

• Host infrastructure: implement, configure, operate, and maintain hosting VMs and services in Private Hosted Environments.
• Host cloud services on AWS and Azure to business needs, maintaining standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance like patching, upgrades, renewals, lifecycle management.
• Provision and decommission dev/test/prod environments in a repeatable way.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hosted systems and dependencies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines used by the development team.
• Define infrastructure as code to rebuild environments from source control.
• Automate repetitive operational work and reduce manual steps in deployment.
• Support developers in deploying and running apps in each environment.
• Apply hardening baselines, network segmentation, firewall and access rules.
• Manage access with least privilege and review/removal when not needed.
• Manage secrets, keys and certificates to avoid credentials in code.
• Run dependency, container image and configuration scanning in pipelines and act on results.
• Remediate hosting security findings within timelines with evidence.
