Job summary

BVNK, the stablecoin-powered financial stack for enterprises, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid team in Cape Town. You will design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple regions, with a strong focus on security, automation, and reliability.

You will lead IaC, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform tooling, collaborating across engineering teams to accelerate delivery while maintaining best practices in DevSecOps and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience in modern cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation to manage large-scale infra.
• Containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent).
• CI/CD design and automation with GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Security-first approach with cloud security fundamentals and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and maintain multi-region cloud infrastructure with IaC.
• Architect, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Embed DevSecOps practices and enforce automated security checks.
• Build developer platforms and self-service tooling for engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across the org.
