Placements24 is seeking a Senior Design Architect to lead the creative direction for projects based in Bloemfontein. You will conceptualize and refine designs, guiding design teams while ensuring aesthetic and functional integrity across developments in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Architect with SACAP.
• 7+ years of experience focused on architectural design with a strong portfolio.
• Advanced proficiency in design software including Revit, SketchUp and rendering programs.
• Excellent conceptualization and visualization skills.
• Strong understanding of design theory, aesthetics and architectural history.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client presentations and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design phase for architectural projects, developing innovative and sustainable solutions.
• Create detailed design proposals, including sketches, 3D models and presentations.
• Collaborate with project architects and technologists to translate concepts into buildable plans.
• Ensure design coherence and adherence to the project's aesthetic and functional brief.
• Stay informed about emerging architectural trends, materials and technologies.
• Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
