Job summary

University of Fort Hare seeks a Senior Data Business Analyst - Information Management to drive end-to-end data analysis for a strategic transformation programme. You will perform data discovery, profiling, classification, governance, and requirements definition, aligning data assets with business processes and regulatory needs.

Strong stakeholder engagement and Agile delivery experience are essential. The role focuses on large-scale enterprise data assets, data products and information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Informatics/Information Systems.
• Data management certification (DAMA/CDMP) advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years BA experience in complex environments.
• 5+ years in Information Management BA and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data discovery to identify data assets and their business value.
• Profile data assets for sensitivity, quality, context and usage.
• Classify data per governance and regulatory needs.
• Define data requirements, processes and business rules.
• Support data governance, access controls and compliance.
• Engage stakeholders to validate requirements and drive BA activities.
• Assist in data architecture and solution alignment during delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and UAT as needed.
