Job summary

University of Fort Hare is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an 18-month ERP and EPM Cloud transformation. The role focuses on data migration, pipeline development, data integration, and enterprise data governance within a large-scale programme.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years in data engineering, strong experience with data quality and metadata management, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 5-8 years’ experience in data engineering, data integration or data management.
• Hands-on experience in designing enterprise data pipelines and data migration.
• Experience with ERP/EPM Cloud or similar enterprise transformation projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead data migration workstreams within ERP Roadmap and EPM Cloud projects.
• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data integration patterns and APIs.
• Ensure data governance, quality, metadata management and lineage.
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive analytics and enable business decisions.
• Provide regular progress reports and engage stakeholders across the program.
