Job summary

Recruitment Dynamix (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to manage and improve data flows across our operational systems in Pretoria. You will monitor data continuity, validate data integrity and produce actionable analytics for management.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau), and a solid grasp of data governance, quality controls and risk management. Attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data analyst/operational data management.
• Qualification in data science, IS, statistics or finance.
• Experience monitoring data flows in operational systems.
• Strong data governance, quality controls and risk management.
• Advanced SQL for data interrogation, validation and reporting.
• Experience with workflow analysis and operational reporting.
• Experience with ERP/CRM or business management systems.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Identify shortfalls and report findings to management.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor end-to-end data flow across operational systems for continuity and accuracy.
• Analyse and manage workflow reports to track operational performance and data movement.
• Report to management on data STATUS, pipeline status and workflow performance.
• Identify and highlight shortfall areas within defined parameters and recommend practical solutions to rectify.
• Implement controls to prevent data loss within operational processes.
• Assess, document and manage data-related risks in systems and workflows.
• Coordinate data processes between departments within defined operational parameters.
• Validate incoming and outgoing data for completeness, accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data flow maps, documentation and control frameworks.
• Monitor system integrations and flag anomalies or discrepancies timeously.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on data errors and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and compliance requirements.
• Recommend improvements to data flow efficiency and system reliability.
