Placements24 invites a Senior Data Analyst to join a remote-first team focused on insurance analytics. You will build models, deliver insights, and present findings to stakeholders across underwriting, claims, marketing, and product teams.

You'll work with SQL, Python or R, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) to drive data-driven decisions. Remote-friendly environment with global collaboration and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python or R (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data models and analytical frameworks to extract key insights from large insurance datasets.
• Perform complex data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains through data analysis.
• Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the team's analytical capabilities.
• Stay current with trends in data analytics, machine learning, and insurance analytics.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives and ensure best practices in data management and analysis.
