Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst specializing in Insurance Analytics. This fully remote role within South Africa focuses on extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends and provide actionable insights for underwriting, claims, pricing, and customer experience.

You will build sophisticated models, create dashboards using Tableau/Power BI, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional data analysis experience with focus on insurance.
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Advanced Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling.
• Experience with Tableau/Power BI and BI platforms.
• Strong communication and ability to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data models and analytical frameworks for insurance questions.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources ensuring integrity.
• Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and segmentation.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, underwriting, and claims teams.
• Mentor junior analysts and advance the data analytics function.
