About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding global cybersecurity consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to join their remote team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, including risk management, compliance, and technical security controls. You will advise clients across various industries in South Africa on developing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies, enhancing their security posture, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and possesses a strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions. Working remotely, you will engage with clients virtually, leveraging state-of-the-art collaboration tools to deliver impactful consulting services from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and implement customized cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Advise clients on achieving compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Assist clients in selecting and implementing appropriate security technologies and controls.
• Provide guidance on incident response planning and business continuity management.
• Perform security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness training and workshops to client personnel.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
• Manage client engagements, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within scope.
• Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for follow-on engagements.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to deliver integrated security solutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, risk management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in conducting security assessments, developing security strategies, and implementing security controls.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations.
• Strong understanding of various cybersecurity domains, including network security, application security, cloud security, and data privacy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives and technical teams.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings as required.
