Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for its fully remote operations team. You will defend against threats, conduct incident response, and perform vulnerability assessments across diverse environments, collaborating with global IT and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in CS or InfoSec, 5+ years of experience, and relevant certifications such as CISSP or GIAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and technologies.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), EDR, and network security tools.
• Proficiency in log data analysis, network traffic, and malware samples.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and pen testing tools.
• Strong OS knowledge (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ are valued.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong remote teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR to detect threats.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, recommend remediation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and pen tests to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and attack vectors.
• Improve incident response plans and runbooks.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to implement controls.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance to stakeholders.
• Conduct security awareness training for staff.
• Manage and maintain security tools and technologies.
