Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Cost Commercial Lead to drive cost management on transport and utilities infrastructure projects. The role requires a strong background in cost and commercial management, risk mitigation and leadership across large civils programs.

You will lead cost estimation, reporting, tendering and contract administration (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC) while developing the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in QS or Civil Eng and SACQSP registration.
• Minimum 10+ years in quantity surveying on infra projects.
• Experience with transport projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BoQ for construction projects.
• Conduct value engineering to identify cost savings.
• Develop multi-scenario forecasts for client decisions.
• Manage tender processes and bid evaluations.
• Draft and review contracts per FIDIC/NEC/JBCC.
• Monitor cost variances and produce monthly reports.
