Placements24 is representing a JSE-listed client in search of a Senior Corporate Governance Advisor based in Sandton, Gauteng. The role focuses on ensuring top-tier governance in line with King IV, advising the Board and management on governance, risk and ethical standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in corporate governance or related roles, with strong knowledge of the Companies Act, King IV and JSE requirements, and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce or related field.
• Master's degree or Chartered Secretary qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in corporate governance, company secretarial or corporate legal advisory roles.
• In-depth knowledge of the South African Companies Act, King IV and JSE listing requirements.
• Proven experience advising boards and senior management on governance matters.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.

This strategic role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of corporate governance are maintained across the organization, in compliance with King IV principles and relevant legislation. You will advise the Board of Directors and senior management on governance best practices, risk management, and ethical conduct.
