Placements24 is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design, implementation, and maintenance of industrial automation systems in Nelspruit. You will drive safety, reliability, and performance across energy and manufacturing processes using PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.

You will design, program, and validate control systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams while mentoring operations staff. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Systems or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency with major PLC/DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex control systems for industrial applications using PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
• Configure and program automation hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems performance and reliability.
• Develop and execute test plans for control system validation and commissioning.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated system design.
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
