Job summary

Astron Energy’s Cape Town refinery is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the Guarding Division’s on-site security program. You will oversee the SSP team, NKP compliance, and firearms management while coordinating with the CHSO and JPC on security planning.

You will manage training, vetting, and regulatory reporting, and ensure efficient incident investigations, risk assessments, and amendments to SOPs. This role requires strong leadership in a critical infrastructure setting.

Qualifications

• Experience managing National Key Point (NKP) operations and teams.
• Understanding of NKP Act, CIPA, FCA and PSIRA requirements.
• Ability to prepare NKP reports, investigations and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site SSP team of security officers and ensure NKP compliance.
• Coordinate with CHSO on NKP/PSIRA audits and training schedules.
• Manage SSP posts, firearms, vetting, and competency expiry databases.
• Oversee SRA, BSSA, REFSECO, and JPC activities and security planning.
• Maintain incident investigations, emergency response plans, and site SOPs.
• Deliver monthly security performance updates and client-facing reports.
