Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead the on-site SSP team, ensuring NKP compliance and robust threat and risk management. The role requires coordinating training, vetting, firearms management, and liaison with SA authorities to maintain high security standards at the facility.

The ideal candidate has NKP experience, petroleum sector exposure is advantageous, and strong leadership with regulatory knowledge to ensure adherence to PSIRA, BCEA, NKP, FCA, and ISPS

Qualifications

• Management within a National Key Point environment (at least 3 years).
• Experience in the petroleum sector is an advantage.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Formal managerial training certification would be advantageous.
• Understanding PSIRA, BCEA, NKP, FCA and ISPS Code principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages the on-site Security Service Provider (SSP) team of 51 officers.
• Oversees NKP compliance, including training, vetting and reporting.
• Lead quarterly and monthly security review meetings and planning.
• Directs SSP firearms management and daily allocation of weapons.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies and risk management standards.
• Coordinates investigations, incident management, and liaison with authorities.
