Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Site Manager to oversee large-scale construction projects from a remote location, based out of Gauteng. The role requires leading diverse teams, coordinating budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance and quality from afar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in construction management with at least 5 years in site management for large-scale projects.
• Experience with remote project management and construction management software (Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication for remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site activities and personnel remotely for multiple projects.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols across all sites with virtual audits.
• Monitor progress using digital tools and reporting systems; address delays proactively.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct regular virtual site inspections and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and permit requirements.
• Manage quality control and meet client expectations.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports and risk assessments for management.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communications and remote collaboration.
