Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead major projects from initiation to completion in the Upington area. This senior role demands strategic leadership, rigorous budgeting, scheduling, and strong on-site and office stakeholder management.

You will drive cost control, resource allocation, and contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management with large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process.
