Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 12+ years progressive experience in construction management, with 5+ years in leadership on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience managing complex building/infrastructure projects end-to-end.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
• Strong understanding of OHS Act and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Develop and implement site management plans, including safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
• Lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary site teams, fostering safety and productivity.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, contract administration, and claims management.
• Ensure compliance with South African building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures for profitability.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to ensure milestones are met.
• Approve work methods, materials, and equipment for suitability and compliance.
